How much does it cost to list my workshops or trips?
- Initially, it’s completely free to list your workshops and trips. This allows early adopters to take advantage of free advertising while helping us build a robust community of photographers and providers. As this is a new venture, we want to build a strong community by encouraging individuals like yourself to join. In the future, there will be subscription or individual payment options depending on your needs. Any changes will be communicated well in advance, and listings made before the pricing change will remain free.
Are there any fees for customers booking through the platform?
- There are no fees for customers to book through Shutter Trails.
What makes this platform different from others?
- Unlike other platforms, we focus on listing individual photographers’ trips rather than those organized under larger companies. Additionally, you are not bound to list exclusively with us—you’re free to advertise elsewhere. By offering this platform for free initially, you have nothing to lose and stand to gain free advertising.
What kind of workshops or trips can be listed?
- All kinds of trips and workshops can be listed, from helping complete beginners learn how to use a camera right through to helping professionals polish their portfolio. If you are helping people capture images or video then your trip can be listed.
How do customers book workshops or trips through the platform?
- Currently if a customer is interested you will receive an email with their details and details of the trip they wish to participate in.
- Future developments will include live availability and the option for customers to book on directly through the platform.
Is there a vetting process for providers?
- Yes, all of our providers are vetted before being listed. This helps to ensure we provide only the highest quality of trips.
How do I create an account or list my workshop/trip?
- Registration is easy and straightforward. Follow the link here to register an account, and follow the instructions to become a trip provider. Guides on creating trip or workshop listings will be e-mailed to you after vetting.
Is there a vetting process for listed workshops or trips?
- All listings are checked for accuracy, and are linked directly to the providers profile. The content of all trips is owned by the provider.
Do you provide support for creating or managing listings?
- Yes, you are able to edit the listings yourself after approval, and if you are still having trouble you can contact us directly at [email protected] for further assistance.
What happens in case of cancellations or rescheduling?
- All cancellations and rescheduling are the responsibility of the provider to manage, they should be in touch with any changes to the trips and workshops.
Can I advertise my listings outside the platform?
- Yes! You are not tied in to only listing through our platform. Feel free to advertise on your own websites, through your own advertising and wherever else you wish.
How does the platform promote listed workshops or trips?
- Listings are promoted through our own advertising campaigns. If you consent to us using your images we will use these to create our own adverts for social media and SEO adverts to provide your trips with the best opportunities to be seen.
Can I update or edit my listing after it’s live?
- Absolutely, through your profile menu you will find a list of your current live trips. Here you will find the option to make necessary changes.
